This week, I get back to recording with my old setup. I still haven’t pulled the trigger on getting some new recording gear (trying to save money).
I’ve made some changes to my Event Elves Shop Page. I am using a separate custom page rather than the auto-generated Shop page from Woocommerce (Shop Archives Page). The Shop Archives Page can’t be as easily customised.
Check the new shop page here:
With a bit of work, I finally have my first official Facebook Ad running. The goal is to drive more traffic to the Event Elves website. I found the process of getting a Facebook Ad not as intuitive as I thought it would be. This is different from simply just boosting an existing post. We are talking about doing a targeted ad campaign.
I will continue to monitor the traffic on the website. Hopefully, we will see some engagement and some closed business through the website.
The electric car movement is in full swing in certain parts of the world, most notably in China. Yet one of the world’s car manufacturing powerhouses, Germany, is seriously lagging behind. Not to mention, the (forgotten) Volkswagen emissions scandal in 2015.

The Mainline – Ridesharing Companies in Brisbane
We’ve got 3 major players in the Brisbane Ridesharing economy. Uber, OLA and Didi. All are competing for the business of the riders and loyalty of the drivers. As a rideshare driver, the competition has certainly had a positive impact on earnings. We’ll have to wait and see how everything plays out and who the winners will be. Hopefully, there will be a healthy ecosystem with more than one player in the game – everyone wins.
